There are a few things that might look a little different when you look at your accounts. Below is a list of things that you might notice:

1. Accounts display in a different order than what was previously there. To reorder your accounts, simply log in to the desktop version of Online Banking, then click on “My Settings.”
2. Hidden accounts may be visible again – don’t fret! To re-hide any accounts, easily log in to the desktop version of Online Banking, then click on “My Settings.”
3. The last 4 digits of accounts numbers may display differently. Rest assured, your account number is still the same and you don’t have to do anything to adjust.
4. Some account nicknames in Online Banking didn’t transfer properly. You can update this by logging in to the desktop version of Online Banking, then click on “My Settings.”

The system upgrade is an investment in the future of the credit union so we can be a better financial partner for you. It will allow us to improve our member experience, offer enhanced products and digital services, and provide innovations in the future. In short, we’ll be able to better serve YOU following the upgrade.

The upgrade will occur over Labor Day weekend, beginning end of business, Friday, September 2. We will reopen on Tuesday, September 6, and resume normal business hours. Please see the Availability Chart for more details on timing.

Besides physically implementing the upgrade, we need time to ensure all systems are working properly before coming back online. We know the timing for something like this is never convenient, but we chose the holiday weekend to minimize the impact on you. Since transactions don’t post on federal holidays, this reduces the number of business days you would be affected. We do recommend you plan ahead for your holiday weekend spending.

Branches will be closed Saturday, September 3, and reopen Tuesday, September 6. You will not be able to access Online Banking or Mobile App during the upgrade, however, you can continue to use your debit and credit cards as normal, and ATMs will have limited functionality. Our Call Center will be open to answer general questions throughout the weekend, but will have very limited access to account information during the system upgrade. We will be unable to conduct transactions, provide you with any account specifics, or perform maintenance or changes. Normal transaction processing is expected to return Tuesday, September 6. Please see the chart here for branch closures and other important information.

The Credit Union will reach out to you ONLY if we are sharing information about any events that are occurring during the Upgrade Period. Anyone who contacts you claiming to be with CommunityAmerica, specifically asking for your personal information during that time, is not associated with the Credit Union. CommunityAmerica will never request you to provide us with personal information - account number, Social Security number, PIN, credit card number, or password(s) – in an email. If there is any concern or suspicion with regard to any communication you receive from CommunityAmerica, contact us immediately at [email protected] or 913.905.7000.

Yes, we will continue to offer the same securities and procedures during the Upgrade Period that we have always offered.

No, MATTI will not be available during the Upgrade Period.

Our consumer routing number (301081508) will remain the same.

Direct deposits and automatic withdrawals set up prior to the system upgrade will remain unchanged. This will require no action from you, and they will post on Friday and Tuesday as they would today.

Your interest/dividends will not be impacted by the system upgrade. Due to the downtime over the Upgrade Period, your August statement will extend to include the transactions prior to the Upgrade Period (September 1-5).  Your September statement will then show transactions for the remainder of the month of September (6-30). The dividend/interest payment will be reflected on both statements.

You can continue to use your current checks.

No, your debit and credit card, including your card PIN, will not change and will continue to function as normal.

No, your debit and credit card numbers will not change.

Your debit and credit card settings previously set up will function as normal after the Upgrade Period. Fraud monitoring and alerts will be available 24/7. If your card(s) has fraudulent activity, you will be notified via text message. You can call 877.661.4920 for assistance.

Yes, your debit card and credit card will function normally during the upgrade. You will be able to withdrawal funds from your checking and/or savings account at ATMs, but you will not be able to see your account balance(s). Your balance will be updated soon after the end of the Upgrade Period. Please keep in mind, ATM withdrawal limits will remain as they are today. If more cash is needed than the amount allowed that weekend, we recommend withdrawing money prior to Friday, September 2. Also, during the Upgrade Period, video tellers will not be available.

Transactions that you made over the weekend may take a few extra hours to post to your account when the System comes back online. If you still don’t see your transactions after 24 hours, please call us at 913.905.7000 or visit a branch.

Previously scheduled transfers will process over the Upgrade Period. Please complete any necessary one-time transfers prior to end of day (7pm) Thursday, September 1, to avoid any potential disruptions. Please note: External Funds Transfers may need to be recreated after the upgrade to avoid any scheduled transfer interruptions. 

You will not receive account alerts from CommunityAmerica’s Online Banking or Mobile App after Friday, September 2. We expect alerts to resume Tuesday morning, September 6. After the upgrade, your account alerts will function as usual. 

One-time Online Bill Pay will not be available during the Upgrade Period; however, previously scheduled payments will process as usual. We advise you to schedule online Bill Pay and transfers prior to the Upgrade Period.

You will not be able to send funds through Zelle, however, others who are not CommunityAmerica members but use Zelle will be able to send you funds, though they will not reflect in your account until Wednesday, September 7. Please note, access to Zelle will be removed on Wednesday, August 31 and return the following Wednesday, September 7.

You can use digital payment apps during our system Upgrade Period ONLY IF your payment app account is linked to your debit card. If your payment app account is linked to your account number (checking or savings), you will not be able to send or receive funds through the app due to the System Upgrade.  Accepted apps include but are not limited to: PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.

Online Banking and our Mobile App will not change; however, all your accounts will be combined under one single member number after the upgrade. This means your accounts—including joint accounts—will now appear and be visible in digital banking.

Also, please understand both Online Banking and Mobile App will be unavailable during the Upgrade Period starting at 7pm CT on Friday, September 2. Everything will be active and updated the morning of Tuesday, September 6.

No, your usernames and passwords will remain the same.

Your view will revert to default settings while also conveniently including all deposit (checking and savings) and loan accounts where you are designated as a primary or joint owner. After the upgrade, you can modify which accounts you’d like to see or hide by clicking “Settings” on the Accounts page.

No, after the upgrade, your mobile app will continue to work exactly how it does today. 

Your accounts will continue to appear as they do today. If, however, you are a joint owner on other account(s), you will also see those beginning September 6. After the upgrade all your accounts—including joint accounts—will now appear and be visible in digital banking.

Online Banking and the Mobile App will be unavailable during the Upgrade Period, and you will not receive alerts from Saturday, September 3, through Monday, September 5. Alerts will work as usual after the upgrade beginning Tuesday, September 6.

Scheduled transfers that were created before the upgrade are expected to process as usual following the upgrade. We recommend double-checking your transfers and bill pays to ensure they are still connected after Tuesday, September 6, for peace of mind.

No, Text Banking will not be available throughout the Upgrade Period.

Yes, after the Upgrade Period, you will be able to make your loan payments the same way you do today.

Yes, members will be able to withdraw cash from ATMs during the Upgrade Period. ATM daily limits will remain the same.

Account balances will NOT be viewable at ATMs through the Upgrade Period. All banking will resume as normal with balances being updated on the morning of Tuesday, September 6. We recommend checking your balances before the upgrade on September 2, then manually tracking your expenses throughout the weekend.

Yes, you will be able to withdraw money, but again, you will not be able to view your account balances during the Upgrade Period.

Your statements will have a new and improved look and will continue to include all the appropriate information related to your accounts. Please note that as part of the upgrade, you will receive two partial month statements for September—one after the Upgrade Period for account activity September 1-5 and one for account activity September 6-30. Interest and dividends will be reflected on both.

You will continue to receive the same monthly Mortgage Statement.

After the upgrade, you will continue to receive a separate monthly Home Equity Line of Credit Statement.

Your statement will have a new and improved look but will continue to include all the pertinent information related to your account(s).

All online loan applications must be submitted before 5:00pm on Thursday, September 1, 2022. Members may still apply for loans at a branch or over the phone until 7:00pm on Friday, September 2. After that, no applications (including online applications) will be accepted again until Tuesday, September 6.

Previously scheduled payments will occur as usual. Due to the System Upgrade, one-time online loan payments cannot be made. Payments can be scheduled starting Tuesday, September 6.

If you aggregate your CommunityAmerica account data into other software, such as Quicken, please note that aggregation services from CommunityAmerica accounts will be interrupted during our system Upgrade Period and up to 5 business days afterward. If you need to import any ConmmunityAmerica transaction data into your account aggregation software, please do so prior to Thursday, September 1, or after the upgrade. 

Please allow five business days for everything to populate on your aggregation software. If, after that time, it still has not shown up, we encourage you to disconnect and reconnect your CommunityAmerica account to your Quicken, Quickbooks, or Mint account.

We improved your online banking experience by streamlining your log in process. All of your accounts will now be under a single User Name. You will need to set up recurring scheduled transfers, external loan payments, external account transfers, text alerts or Zelle payments you had under your other User Name.

If any of the accounts that changed member ID numbers were used for recurring scheduled transfers, external loan payments, external account transfers, text alerts or Zelle payments, you’ll need to reconnect them under the new log in.

You will still be able to log in using your various User Names, however, your accounts will only be visible under one User Name.

You can set up this transfer under the new log in or by utilizing the member to member transfer feature. You would just need to add a recipient on the transfer screen. You will need to enter the last 3 characters of the person's last name or business' name, AND the full account number of which you're trying to transfer. Once you establish the account, it will be saved for future transfers.

If your accounts were consolidated into a single member number, the account you're trying to use may no longer be available. You can set up this transfer under the new log in or by utilizing the member to member transfer feature. You would just need to add a recipient on the transfer screen.

You need to enter the first3 characters of the person's last name or business' name, AND the full account number of which you're trying to transfer. Once you establish the account, it will be saved for future transfers.
