CommunityAmerica Launches New Financial Aid Comparison Tool

CommunityAmerica was recently featured in the Kansas City Business Journal for its new Financial Aid Comparison Tool (FACT). Over the past year, CommunityAmerica's Innovation Lab has developed and continued to add online resources to its CollegeRoadmap™ website, where families and high school students can familiarize themselves with the college planning process and gain an understanding of the costs of college.

"Our College and Career consultants meet with hundreds of CommunityAmerica Families each year. Many have shared the heart-wrenching stories of students who receive a financial aid award letter, thinking all of the aid is free, only to realize their aid package includes money that’ is owed—often in the thousands,” said Anita Newton, Chief Innovation Officer of CommunityAmerica. "Our newest tool solves this problem. The FACT serves up standard college offers by income level and allows users to compare offers by each school. FACT clearly defines free versus borrowed aid for more intentional and informed college planning."
