Special Needs. Special Planning.
The Special Needs Planning Center works specifically with families who have children with special needs. We surround these families with knowledgeable and passionate people who are well-versed in these situations. By assisting families and creating a plan, we help ensure that the child continues to receive a loving, high level of care should his or her parents no longer be able to provide it.

I live with my wife and six children on a farm in Lawson, MO. As your advisor, I can bring a unique and important perspective to this process. I too am the proud parent of not one but three children with special needs. That insight quickly evolved into a steadfast commitment to helping families who’ve been blessed to have a child with special needs. My personal experience of planning for all my children led me to discover the specialized knowledge required to plan for their unique legal and financial future. This discovery inspired me to co-found The Special Needs Planning Center.
I have been a financial advisor since 1991 and have earned the designation of Chartered Financial Consultant and Certified Financial Planner while working with families on their financial and estate needs. Together I have confidence that we can create a plan that’s suitable for you and your child.

With degrees in both Finance and International Business, my career began in 1999 and soon after I found my calling in helping families who have children with special needs. This experience has led me to serve on many organizations right here in Kansas City. A few of them include Variety Children’s Charity of Kansas City, The Mid-America Games for the Disabled and the Northland Early Education Center.
Living in the area with my wife Martha and my three sons, Warner, Whitaker and Sawyer, has caused me to invest my time in the community. And as a Certified Financial Planner™, I have the insight and experience needed to help develop a plan that’s suitable for both you and your child’s needs.
