As the Chief People Officer for CommunityAmerica Credit Union, Julie leads employee experience strategy and all aspects of human resources.
Julie and her team champion CommuityAmerica’s culture which fosters collaboration, alignment, innovation, and engagement to support the credit union’s goal of helping more people achieve financial peace of mind. Under Julie’s leadership, CommunityAmerica has been recognized as repeat winner of Best Place to Work in Kansas City.
Julie brings nearly 30 years of strategic HR leadership experience, most recently as the Vice President of Human Resources for Freightquote. From establishing best practice infrastructures to building high performing teams, Julie’s deep expertise spans all areas of HR. Her results-focused, energetic leadership has helped numerous organizations create winning cultures, increase employee engagement, and improve employee development and retention.
Julie is active in the Kansas City community and currently serves on the Board of the Women’s Intersport Network (WIN for KC). She is a past Board Member of Junior Achievement of Greater Kansas City and the HR Advisory Board for the UMKC Henry W. Block School of Management. In 2017, Julie was inducted into Women of Influence by the Kansas City Business Journal.
Julie holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Pittsburg State University. An avid athlete and sports fan, Julie enjoys golf and pickleball and traveling with her husband and two daughters.
