Karly Scholl

Karly whole-heartedly believes that our lives are enriched through education and is committed to helping individuals reach their education goals with the least amount of debt as possible. She also believes that education and college are two different things. There are excellent educational opportunities for all interests and abilities, and there are excellent college choices for those who pursue careers that require formal training. The key is finding the right fit for you – a certificate, a two- or four-year degree, professional training, or graduate school.

As a College Planner, it is Karly's job to help you navigate the most important stages of the college and career planning process including career exploration, choosing an educational program, and establishing realistic financial expectations around funding your education. Whether you are high school student, a current college student, an adult who never attended college, or one returning to school, she is here to help you form a plan. Once your plan is created, we walk together through the steps to ensure your educational success.

Prior to joining CommunityAmerica, Karly served in college admissions for over 15 years where she supported families throughout the college search and financial aid processes. She partnered with local school districts and community organizations where she spoke to students of all ages about their college path, and it will always be her goal to help Kansas Citians reach their full potential.

Though not a Kansas City native, Karly has come to love this city and community. She obtained her Master’s in Education degree from Iowa State University and undergraduate degree at Minnesota State, Mankato. Karly moved to Kansas City in 2007 and resides in the Northland with her husband, Darin, and two children, Joseph and Luella. Karly loves the students in her community and makes time to serve as the Treasurer of 20/20 Leadership, a premier Kansas City youth development program dedicated to preparing students for life after high school. She volunteers weekly as a Peer Reader for Lead to Read and is committed to her kids’ school and neighborhood committees. In her spare time, Karly loves being at the lake, cheering on our favorite sports teams, and hosting gatherings for friends and family.
