Our Partnership with Junior Achievement & BizTown

CommunityAmerica Credit Union sponsors Junior Achievement and BizTown to align with its mission of promoting financial literacy and investing in the community's future. By supporting the program in the Greater Kansas City area, CommunityAmerica helps empower young people with essential real-world skills.

Strategic Mission Alignment

Financial Education

As a financial institution, CommunityAmerica's mission is strongly connected to teaching financial literacy. The JA BizTown program gives elementary school students hands-on experience with core economic concepts, like operating a bank, managing finances, and running a business.

Community Investment

CommunityAmerica is a not-for-profit credit union that shares its profits with its members and invests in the community it serves. The credit union sees its partnership with Junior Achievement as an opportunity to enrich and strengthen our community. In 2019, it made its largest philanthropic gift to Junior Achievement of Greater Kansas City to support the program.

Creating Future Leaders

The sponsorship is part of a larger effort to help build the next generation of leaders and drive economic development. Through JA BizTown, students gain experience in leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving.
