CommunityAmerica and Travis Kelce Team Up to Help Kansas Citians
CommunityAmerica Credit Union and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce are excited to announce they will team up to get Kansas Citians on a path to thrive by providing financial literacy and philanthropic support to benefit people and organizations across the metro.
“There is great synergy between Travis, our CEO, Lisa Ginter, and her vision for CommunityAmerica to help Kansas Citians get on a path to thrive and achieve financial peace of mind,” said Whitney Bartelli, Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer at CommunityAmerica Credit Union. “The passion and heart that Travis and Lisa share to develop high-impact financial education and hands-on tools were key drivers in making this partnership a natural and winning fit.”
“Since I came to KC, I’ve watched Lisa and her team at CommunityAmerica play a major role in giving back to this city,” said Kelce. “I love what they’ve done to support Operation Breakthrough, which is close to me after founding their Ignition Lab with Eighty-Seven & Running to assist teens in providing a workforce development program to pursue better careers after graduation. Together, I know we’ll do even more for our community to set Kansas City up for success well into the future.”
Through this new partnership, CommunityAmerica and Kelce aim to create access to engaging and effective financial education, with content and tools that will help people achieve financial peace of mind. Both Ginter and Kelce are deeply passionate about helping people feel more confident and in control of their finances. Under Ginter’s leadership, CommunityAmerica offers products and services aimed at improving people’s financial well-being across all life stages. “We meet people where they are and provide the tools and support they need to navigate their financial journeys,” said Ginter. “Seeing how Travis stepped up to support our city’s kids and his rookie teammates, I knew he shared our passion for making a difference in people’s lives.”
The credit union already supports several organizations and programs, including Junior Achievement and Operation Breakthrough, who offer educational programs for children and young adults. Kelce recently opened the Ignition Lab at Operation Breakthrough to give teens a haven with hands-on tools to pursue stronger career goals.
CommunityAmerica is the Exclusive Banking Partner of the Kansas City Chiefs and has a partnership deal with NFL Super Bowl MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
