Amanda Roberts is an Anti-Money Laundering Investigator at CommunityAmerica Credit Union. She began her career in banking at 17 years old, taking on several roles on the front lines of banking. In 2011, Amanda made a switch to the back office as a Debit Card Fraud Investigator with a financial institution in Atlanta, Georgia. Curious by nature, she loved the fast-paced, ever-changing environment of fraud and quickly found that her true passion is in fraud detection and prevention.

Amanda joined the CommunityAmerica family in 2019, after moving to Kansas City to be closer to her husband’s family. Her specialty is utilizing voice biometrics and recognition to prevent fraud related to identity theft and account takeover and she shared that there is no better pleasure than being able to stop a fraudster before they are able to do any harm. She is currently studying for her CFE credential from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and is also involved in the MO-KAN Chapter of the International Association of Financial Crime Investigators (IAFCI).

She currently resides in Lee’s Summit, MO with her husband, two kids, and two dogs. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys spending time on the lake, gardening, riding her Peloton bike, and cheering for her favorite sports teams.
