CommunityAmerica Credit Union Accelerates Expansion in St. Louis

Announces Two New Locations and Partnership with St. Louis Cardinals Shortstop, Masyn Winn

Kansas City, Mo. (May 10, 2024) – Missouri’s largest credit union, CommunityAmerica Credit Union, is excited to announce the grand opening of a new branch in Richmond Heights, a future location in Des Peres for its St. Louis-area headquarters and a multiyear partnership with St. Louis Cardinals shortstop Masyn Winn.

 

This expansion builds on CommunityAmerica’s announcement nearly one year ago to grow its market presence in St. Louis. The initial phase involved securing properties for three branches as well as strategic partnerships with the Cardinals and pitcher Adam Wainwright.

New Branch & St. Louis Headquarters

On Thursday, May 2, the credit union held a grand opening, ribbon-cutting event for its new Richmond Heights location at 6510 Clayton Road. The branch features the same full-service banking capabilities available at other CommunityAmerica locations, including expanded access to live tellers from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. through the Interactive Teller Machine (ITM).

 

The event featured local public officials, St. Louis Cardinals alumni, and Team Fredbird, and CommunityAmerica’s super-sized “Big ATM” giving away Cardinals tickets and merchandise and other fun prizes.

 

CommunityAmerica also finalized an agreement to purchase land at 11780 Manchester Road in Des Peres to build a new headquarters for St. Louis operations. The building will include a full-service branch with office space for personal banking, wealth management and commercial solutions as well as professional services and administration staff. This flagship location is projected to include 35 employees and open mid-2025.

Masyn Winn Multiyear Partnership

Expanding its roster of St. Louis partnerships, CommunityAmerica inked an exciting, multiyear agreement with St. Louis Cardinals shortstop Masyn Winn to serve as a credit union spokesperson. Winn will deepen CommunityAmerica’s connection to the St. Louis fan base and help share the credit union’s story of delivering financial peace of mind to their members and communities.

We love the energy and dynamic play he brings to the Cardinals, and we’re excited about teaming up to expand our commitment to St. Louis.”

 

The Cardinals selected Winn in the second round of the 2020 Major League Baseball draft. During the 2021 season, Winn was named the best overall athlete in the Cardinals' minor league system. On August 18, 2023, he was selected to the 40-man roster and promoted to the major leagues for the first time. At 21 years and 150 days old, he became the youngest Cardinal to make his MLB debut at the starting shortstop position since Garry Templeton on August 9, 1976. After the 2023 season, he won the International League Top MLB Prospect Award.

In 2023, CommunityAmerica agreed to a multiyear partnership with the St. Louis Cardinals to serve as the exclusive naming rights partner for the Cardinals Club, a premium all-inclusive seating area in the stadium that is otherwise known to Cardinals fans as “the green seats.” The CommunityAmerica Cardinals Club features a variety of new and modern design elements, including a mural of iconic Cardinals players throughout the club’s long and rich history.
