Forbes featured CommunityAmerica CEO Lisa Ginter in its "Rebuilding America: Kansas City" series for the support the Credit Union has shown KC and its members in a time of fiscal uncertainty. 

CommunityAmerica was deemed an essential business and remained open when the Covid-19 pandemic initially struck the U.S. in March 2020. Being responsive to member needs was at the forefront of the Credit Union's approach.

“We assessed where our members needed us most and how we could meet them there — and we’re still doing that," Ginter told Forbes. "People helping people is what we’re built upon, and that’s never been more evident than in these past few months. We are a haven for our members to discuss whatever financial matters are troubling them, and we provide solutions to help them get back to financial peace of mind.”
